Wanjiku is dedicated to supporting organizations in the agriculture sector to enhance
their effectiveness in developing and delivering scalable, impactful, and sustainable
solutions to smallholder farmers. Her philosophy is that when an organization, program,
business, or project is set up effectively, operations and implementation become
seamless, leading to greater efficiency and the natural emergence of growth and
sustainability opportunities. This, in turn, results in better service to smallholder farmers
and increased productivity.
She is particularly passionate about mobile and data-based innovations that contribute
to decision-making across various points of the value chain.
Wanjiku has over 25+ years of experience in agricultural development, having previously
held multiple full-time positions at Arifu, a mobile learning solution, the International
Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) a research institution, and the Alliance for a Green
Revolution in Africa, and the Rockefeller Foundation, both supporting agriculture
projects. She has held advisory roles in digital companies, and board positions in a
research organization and a social enterprise. She holds an MBA in Total Quality
Management.
